October 5-8, 2017
The geography and culture of West Texas is beautiful and unique. Filled with rocky peaks, wild cactus, and desert grasslands, this region is a wonder to capture with the photographic eye. Precision Camera is teaming up with photographer Mandy Lea to offer an adventurous workshop capturing the beautiful landscape of West Texas. Mandy will guide you to locations throughout Big Bend National Park including the Chisos Basin, Santa Elena Canyon and the Rio Grande River. In addition to exploring the National Park, you will also have the opportunity to see the surrounding areas of the Terlingua Ghost Town and the Big Bend Ranch State Park.
In addition to helping you understand camera settings, composition and lighting tips while in the field, we will end the workshop with classroom time to go over tips for editing and an image review of the weeks work.
The fee includes the workshop only. Transportation, lodging and food are not included. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with itinerary and details prior to the workshop.
We recommend staying at the Big Bend Resort & Adventures in Terlingua. The group will explore both the National and State parks and Terlingua is very central. This location also offers both the option of a motel or camping for those who prefer.

There are also several options if you enjoy camping in either an RV or tent. Contact Mandy if you would like to discuss these options.
While transportation is not included, we will do our best to help coordinate carpooling. There will also be a fee per vehicle associated with entering the National Park.
