We’ve been going to the Overland Expos for two years, now. Of course, there are always plenty of rugged, off-road rigs on display at these shows, but those don’t really appeal to us because most of them are completely over-the-top. One thing that always catches our attention is all the creative gadgets people have come…
Day #5 of our 14er project presented yet another day of travel. Sure, there’s over 50 14ers in Colorado, but in order to keep our hikes around ten miles or less we had to do a little bit of driving. Luckily, this project has helped make our travel days a lot more exciting.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned working in the RV industry, it’s that the term “camping” can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people! And that also means that there is a different solution for everyone when it comes to finding a place to rest your head (and your wheels) for the night.
After nearly a month hanging around Silverton it was finally time to pack up Little Bear and have a travel day in search of our next 14er hikes. So, on Day #4 we slept in (sort of) before taking down camp.
We recently attended the world’s largest RV show, the Hershey RV Show. We were there representing our favorite company, nüCamp RV. We used our free time to look around the show for ourselves.
After a day of “rest” we had to get back on the trails. Afterall, if we were going to succeed at hiking fourteen 14ers in 14 days we couldn’t take too many days off. So, on Day #3 our alarms rang at 3:30am, we hit snooze a few times, and finally dragged ourselves out of bed.
On Day #2 we enjoyed a scenic drive over Ophir Pass and then into the town of Telluride. We’d love for you to join us!
On Day #1 of the project we decided to go big and feature at least one item from each of these categories. This was going to be a long day so we started with a 4AM wakeup call to get an early start on the drive to American Basin to hike our first 14er—Handies Peak (14er #1).
We have officially been Livin’ in Little Bear for nearly 4 months now! We’ve been asked by several folks to do a video tour of our home. The truth is, it took us a few months to get settled in and customize him a bit… and quite frankly, to have anything interesting to show you!
We’re at it again, answering more viewer questions on our YouTube channel! We think the best way to enjoy our answers are to watch the video first, and then follow up with the links below. Enjoy!
