Have an extra large spirit for adventure? So does Mandy Lea! Big Bend is enormous, and you simply can’t see it all in a few days. While the first part of our West Texas Excursion workshop focuses on easier to reach vistas — nothing longer than a 1 or 2 mile loop — these extra two days will pack in a lot of adventure for those with a little extra energy.
This workshop can be added onto the West Texas Excursion at a discount, or taken as a standalone workshop.
We will shoot locations both days for sunrise and sunset. We will hike “the window” trail — a six mile round trip — during the golden hour. And if that isn’t enough, we’re going to Mexico! There is a legal border crossing into the small town of Boquillas, a run down and nearly abandoned town that’s chalk full of photographic opportunities. Plus, they serve a mean margarita! You MUST have a valid U.S. Passport to join on this day.
This workshop will be limited to 8 participants. Please note that there will be a lot of moderately difficult hiking, and the schedule could change based on weather. You can choose to sign up for only these two days, or save by adding it on to the earlier workshop.
We recommend staying at the Big Bend Resort & Adventures in Terlingua. The group will explore both the National and State parks and Terlingua is very central. This location also offers both the option of a motel or camping for those who prefer.

There are also several options if you enjoy camping in either an RV or tent. Contact Mandy if you would like to discuss these options.
While transportation is not included, we will do our best to help coordinate carpooling. There will also be a fee per vehicle associated with entering the National Park.
