As you know, we recently completed our Alaska to Mexico adventure. During that time we were pretty darn good about releasing weekly video updates! What you don’t know, is that our journey returning to the US led to some of the best adventures and most beautiful sites of the whole trip! Don’t worry, we’ll still share them with you. Better late than never, right!?
We had spent over a month trouncing around on the beaches of Mexico’s Pacific coast. As fun as it was, we were not acclimated to any kind of altitude! So, first on our agenda was to drive up to the city of Oaxaca at 5,000 ft.
In addition to hitting up the local breweries, the video shows some footage from a wedding parade that we caught the tail end of!
The experience we had during this hike was highly influenced by our interactions with the many stray dogs roaming around the area. If you haven’t watched the video yet, be warned, it’s a sad story. A few people have said they don’t like that I included it. It was such an important part of our journey that day, I couldn’t possibly tell the story of our hike without including the story of the dogs.
Please come along with us and watch the video below as we hike La Malinche, the 6th highest peak in Mexico. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss our upcoming adventure as we hike up Mexico’s 3rd highest peak, Iztaccihuatl!!
